Joshua Breakstone is a guitar player from NYC with 22 recordings out as a leader with such greats (many from Detroit) as Kenny Barron, Barry Harris, Tommy Flanagan, Pepper Adams, Jimmy Knepper, Jack McDuff, Mickey Roker, Al Harewood, etc. He tours twice each year in Japan, and across Europe and just about everywhere in the US.

His most recent recording, “88” was in the top 50 in US airplay for 15 weeks, and received 4 1/2 stars in the January 2017 DownBeat.
PBS has just completed a documentary about his group- description below- (“Joshua Breakstone; Soft Hands; Jazz Ethereal”) which will begin airing on PBS stations in the summer.
His trio will include Detroit stalwarts Sean Dobbins on drums & Marion Hayden on string bass.
