About This Project

Waves de Ache

Friday, March 13th, 2020 @ 9:30 pm

Making minds and bodies move since 2018, Waves de Aché is the musical journey of a couple Ohio boys raised on rock and hip-hop, who studied jazz and then fell in love with the music of Cuba. Rooted in tradition, yet looking to the future, Waves de Aché stays true to themselves while diving deep into the multitude of musical cultures across the Americas.

Led by bassist Will Strickler and drummer/percussionist Max Marsillo, Waves de Aché has performed across the country at festivals and venues including Bopstop (Cleveland), Rockwood Music Hall (NYC), Columbus Jazz & Ribs Festival, The Refectory and more. They released an album of all original material in Spring 2019, called “Forward Motion”, which featured Tommy Lehman on trumpet, Kevin O’Neill on saxophones, Ben Maloney on piano and Zach Compston on drums.
